Our Story
I started Step With Purpose in 2005 as a mom in Brooklyn, looking for the right care and support for my own son. I couldn't find it, so I built it.
It started with a handful of children and a whole lot of love. Twenty-one years later, we're a 4-star Grow NJ Kids program in Blackwood, and the reason hasn't changed. Every child who walks through our door deserves the love, patience, and attention I wanted for my own son. That purpose is why I still show up every day.

State Licensing Requirements: Step With Purpose, LLC is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. We take pride in giving every child safe, high-quality care, from our staff and ratios to health, safety, and records. Our center is inspected regularly so families can feel confident their children are in good hands.
About Us: Established in 2005, Step With Purpose is a Play-Based Learning Child Care Center located in Blackwood, NJ.
Step With Purpose is licensed to serve children ages 2½–13. Our program offerings and age ranges vary by season. During the school year, our preschool program serves children ages 2½–5. Summer Camp generally serves children ages 2½–8. Please contact us to ask about current program availability.
Our primary goal is to provide a dependable and high-quality childcare experience, rooted in the principles of play-based learning, while nurturing the growth and development of all the children in our care.
Our overarching goal and top priorities revolve around the promotion of early childhood education through our bilingual early education program, which is rooted in a play-based and strength-based curriculum. As part of our commitment to excellence, we proudly employ the progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy. We recognize and celebrate the uniqueness of each child, understanding that they are all capable of achieving excellence. To empower our children to thrive to the best of their ability, we provide them with the nurturing environment and essential tools they need. In our pursuit of excellence, we consistently deliver high-quality services that go above and beyond recognized industry standards. Funshine Express serves as the provider of our enriching curriculum.

When children enroll with Step With Purpose, LLC, they are equipped with the essential tools and robust educational support necessary for their healthy development. Our lessons and activities are thoughtfully crafted to nurture not only their intellectual growth but also their emotional and physical well-being. By offering stimulating educational experiences and hands-on learning opportunities, we ensure that our children evolve into bright young minds who reach their fullest potential.

Since the day we opened our doors, yoga has played a powerful role in shaping our environment. It supports our children in building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a deep sense of connection with themselves and with others.

Incorporating yoga into the classroom brings moments of calm, focus, and joy. Whether during transitions, quiet times, or simply as a way to reconnect, these practices help children feel grounded and safe. The beauty of yoga at SWP is that it doesn’t need to be perfect; it just needs to be present.
